It is in the spirit of patriotism that Vanguard Against Drug Abuse, VGADA, led by her President, Dr. Hope Abraham Omeiza on Independence Day marked this memorable day with secondary school students of the Federal Science and Technical College, Orozo in Abuja Municipal Area Council.

Dr. Hope while speaking with news men in Abuja on Friday, 28th Sept. stated that this event is tagged “Independence from adolescents drug abuse” because of the recent increase in the incidence of drug abuse among adolescents across the country.  He said that VGADA hope that this will lead to cascade of interventions in ensuring that our school children gain independence from drug abuse as this ugly trend do not only pose threat to the individuals who indulge but as well to our democracy and our togetherness as a  nation.
