Vanguard Against Drug Abuse (VGADA) Detox Center was borne out of a passion to achieve a sane and serene society that will be safe for all and sundry. We understand that maintaining an excellent state of mental health is crucial for an individual to function properly in the home and society at large. We were particularly alarmed at the rate at which mental and psychological disorders had continued to spring up especially among the youth, and decided to take the bull by its horns and address the problem head-on.

VGADA Detox Centre is a specialist mental health rehabilitation centre in Abuja, which is overseen by the NGO, Vanguard Against Drug Abuse. Our centre offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services for drug addiction and other addiction disorders, stress related disorders, mental health disorders, psychological problems, family therapy, group therapy, social skills training and trauma-informed care and counselling. These services are delivered in a serene and homely environment.

Asides focusing on just ensuring the mental health is restored to optimal function, we also are keen on our patients developing skills that could be pertinent to them coping when they are discharged from inpatient therapy to their homes.

Recognizing that treatment for addiction is a continuum, we have a robust follow-up program for all our discharged patients, and this program has proven to be especially helpful in maintaining the sobriety and sanity of our patients. We also have a flexible and well developed outpatient treatment regimen to accommodate patients who want to continue their everyday routine while undergoing treatment. All these are a testament to the fact that VGADA Detox Centre has the patients' needs at heart and is committed to offering individualized care in the most efficient way possible.
